Our Culture Steering Committee is made up of a group of leaders who serve the organization by providing direction on a variety of culture initiatives. This committee assists and advises management in cultivating and reinforcing a workplace culture that helps attract, motivate, and retain our employees. We also have a volunteer team of Culture Ambassadors who help us embed culture initiatives throughout our offices across the country.
Our company-wide Keystone Award program recognizes employees who go above and beyond. Three times a year, we celebrate winners from across the company. Each winner receives a monetary award, a personalized trophy, and recognition. The Keystone Awards are tied back to our values, and employees must demonstrate they have gone above and beyond in their jobs and are great examples of living our values.

ºÚÁÏÍø¹ÙÍø offers a robust internship program that provides a valuable learning experience for students, mentoring opportunities for staff, and an important recruitment tool for the company. The program offers college students full-time, paid work during the summer and, for co-op students, during the school year. Our continuous efforts to grow and improve our internship program is yielding real results: over the past five years, participation has doubled.
Our Management Associate (MA) program aims to develop the most well-rounded operations employees in home building. This nine-month program is comprised of on-the-job experiences through rotations to key areas of operations and exposure to our functional groups. At program completion, MA's are ready and able to step into multiple operations roles, based on the division's need and the MA's area of interest.
The National Production Training Program is the result of extensive research and the development of industry best practices and was created to help produce highly skilled construction professionals. The program is divided into five curriculums that encompass technical skills, managerial skills, leadership, personal development, and field proficiencies. When taken in its entirety, it is a comprehensive training program for production employees, specifically Assistant Construction Managers. Within the program are individual courses that can be assigned as standalone refreshers to enhance the performance of our more experienced Construction Managers.
Leadership Behaviors are the core behaviors that all leaders at ºÚÁÏÍø¹ÙÍø should possess and exhibit. They help clarify what we stand for as a company and provide consistent guidelines for leaders. When leaders meet these expectations, they're not only more effective at their jobs, but they're better leaders. In 2020, we provided employees a self-reflection workbook to measure themselves against each behavior and commit to a plan to improve where needed.
